The pictures below were sent in by Club member Ken Olsen,  Ken Olsen built his Boomerang last year, and in one years time has put on 250 flights! Ken Moore built his Boomerang(NavyVersion) late (2010) and  has about 50 flights on it now. Ken Olsen was in the Air Force and Ken Moore  was a Navy pilot so They are enjoying the friendly competition! Both have been clocked over 170 MPH. Wing span 96" and weigh 30 Lbs dry. Each carries a gallon of kerosene and flights last around 10 minutes. Both have the same turbine (developing 36 lbs of thrust. both have smoke and are basically set up the same. The Boomerang is a very aerobatic airplane and really flies like a trainer and has no bad habits. Fantastic Job Guys, the Club is Proud to have such good builders and Pilots!

Here is some nice pictures of Kenny Moore's New 50% cub, what a plane, Nice Job Ken ! Thanks to Dean & John for helping Kenny with the test flight.

These photo's were sent in by Moe Smith, they were taken at the napoleon fun fly. There was a nice group of pilots, including local area team futaba  pilot Andy Jesky flying a new Great Planes Giant aerobatic Plane. At one point 4 giant 35-40% planes were hovering in formation only a few feet off the deck!
One pilot attempted to take off a jet powered plane and ran into the corn at almost full speed! This is one fun fly that is well worth the short trip to see.
